A specific business license necessary to run a firm in Dubai is referred to as a Professional License. The authorization is given out by the Department of Economic Development. Any occupation that offers services based on intellectual or artistic abilities may be practiced by an individual or a single-ownership business with a Professional License. Foreign investors can hold 100% of a company with a professional license, offering them all the advantages of a sole proprietorship. To comply with legal regulations, the business must yet designate an Emirati citizen as a local service agent. The agent's only other direct interaction with the business is to collect an agreed-upon yearly fee for the service. They won't own any shares in the company and won't be responsible for any of its debts.
